Well, I guess this qualifies for Soccer, hubby and I met an event organiser for our anniversary next year, we were talking about the weather, and I told him that after 12 years in Scotland, I was pretty well used to the 4 season weather type we have up here. Then he said he was from Newcastle and had been up here just 3 years getting used to it all.
When he mentioned that, hubby and I started to talk about Alan Shearer and the Newcastle United etc. and it went on and on, I like Soccer so does hubby, but we both prefer NHL Hockey, which by the way we're hoping to see the new games on tele soon, but Channel 5 won't seem to have it this year, bummer!
We finished the conversation with our event organiser, regarding Newcastle Brown Beer, and wished we hadn't been driving so we could have accepted his offer of sharing a few before hitting the road. LOL!
Talking about our anniversary next year, the plans changed so quickly I thought my head was going to do a 360.... But last Friday, we were going up to Edinburgh to celebrate son's birthday (his birthday is on Monday the 5th but he is in college that day), and the night before the last ditched effort to get a local celebration for said anniversary went out the window, with a Minister who said we were wasting his time....
So, hubby got onto the internet checked out places and found this absolutely gorgeous resort up in the Trossach's National Park. That is where we ended up talking to the Newcastle guy. So, finally we have included in the price, room, dinner and breakfast, ceremony on the Hotel Terrace overlooking Loch Lomond, a piper to accompany us to the ceremony site etc.
Can't wait till next year, but as I know, the 7 months will fly very quickly. We're getting closer to tidying up the loose ends, we have our anniversary rings ordered, they should be here in about 2 weeks. Hubby got me some lovely pearl jewellery to compliment my gown, which daughter got me, along with a beautiful small tiara, I'm a spoiled girl

.
Next week, appointment with JP in town, check on flower progress, and get wood for the front fence!
I guess that covers it! When is the next World Cup? Hopefully Scotland will get in it....
