Any contractors on here use software for accounting?  I am looking for something to suit a vat registered sole trader/ plastering and rendering contractor soon to be LTD company?

looking at quickbooks at the mo but open to experienced input

You could try one of the new crop of online accounting packages - nothing to install, you just log into a website. Products like Kashflow are steadily gaining ground against traditional software like Sage, and you don't have the hassle of installing, upgrading and backing up your accounting software (which, as an IT Manager, I can assure you is not always an easy task!).

I would suggest you "Financial Accounting and Inventory Management Software" which is really good
